Conference Follow-Up: Part 2

One of the more interesting findings in the survey was that there is quite a bit of concern and caution about the use of email versus other ways of engaging and communicating with people. Some people mentioned that phone and face-to-face contact and communications play a critical role for example because the audience may be elderly or not have Internet access.

So the question for today is not IF these are important considerations but:

HOW do we assure that we are using the right communication method (email, face to face, phone, etc.)

Our Opening Session: No plenary! No talking heads!

Our opening session will set the stage for the day. We will discuss what the word ‘strategic’ means when we consider mission-based use of the Internet. We will leave the session with tools to assure that the rest of the day’s workshops all feed into the same end point...enhancing our STRATEGIC use of the Internet.

Welcome and thanks for taking time to look at this online platform.

The conference on 2nd July is looking really exciting and, for me, is a chance to meet those of you who are new to the network and catch up with more familiar faces. Visit the conference web page to register.

This is the first time an online platform has provided valuable space to share ideas and questions before a Cascade event. I really hope it is an experiment that you have time to indulge in! I shall certainly be keeping an eye on what unfolds and will share my thoughts as much as possible.
