CASCADE member Ian Goodman from the London Advice Services Alliance asks a question in the video below related to email newsletters. There were dozens of questions that CASCADE members asked last week when surveyed.
In the other video, my colleague Marc Osten from Summit Collaborative responds to a few of the questions. He will answer Ian's and several other questions early next week.

Not all of us have speakers... Maybe that's a question for another debate?!

Not at all a question for another debate...HIGHLY relevant. Goes to the core of everything we know about email....it's all about the recipient. Thanks for raising it. So text must accompany audio or video when we know our audience doesn't have certain equipment or maybe a hearing impairment. That is the easy answer.
The hard question I find is what to do if lets say only 1 or 2 people out of a hundred that you communicate with have no speakers. At what point is it counter-productive not possible or advisable to cater to everyone's needs?

Well I was basically posing the question about how people use email newsletter tools.
At LASA we use email in the traditional sense and run a number of email lists (the most known is ukriders - www.ukriders.info) but have not really investigated using email newsletter tools.
Thanks

OK dude....yep that's you Ian. What is your (and your Lasa colleagues) list of the 10 things you've learned as Lasa has managed the UK Riders list. Mistakes you think you've made. Great things you've done...things to do and/or things not to do.
It could be about list management, list building, facilitation/moderation, etc.
